Steven Critchley is the third Director of Studies of the Servants of the Light school. He was personally trained for several years by Dolores Ashcroft Nowicki whom he succeeded as head of the school in 2018. Besides his work in the SOL teaching the Mystical Qabalah and other aspects of the western esoteric tradition, Steven increasingly works in public as a Spiritual Medium demonstrating evidential mediumship and psychism.

In this workshop you will practically learn about:

Dion Fortune’s trance mediumship and her teachings concerning the aura and how the etheric body and aura is worked with in spiritual development and practical magic.

W.E. Butler’s teachings concerning the etheric body, the aura, telepathy, inner contacts and the work of the Mystical Qabalah. Butler’s “Castle Golem” from his SOL Practical Course on the Mystical Qabalah as a form of the “Resurrection Body” will be discussed in detail.

We will also look back into esoteric and magical history at how the etheric body has been understood and worked with practically, particularly by the Renaissance Mage, Marsilio Ficino whose teachings about the eidolon and ‘the angel’ from his Platonic Theology will be considered.

Each student will gain practical knowledge about how psychic, and mediumistic sensitivity, and awareness, develop.

The ‘etheric’ world and the possibility of contact with the beings that live in that ‘world’ will also be explored.

In the workshop, theoretical knowledge will be put to use working in meditation and pathworking with teachings Steven is developing in the SOL school concerning The Star Table of Merlin.
