UK Residential Workshop: The Training and Work of the Magician Priest
May 13, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - May 15, 2016 @ 4:00 pm
Event Navigation

In this residential workshop we will explore the concept of the duties and responsibilities of esoteric priesthood in several initiatory traditions through talks, pathworkings and ritual.
Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and Steven Critchley are both initiates in the priesthoods of Pagan, Esoteric and Mystical Christian traditions and have a wealth of experience in relation to serving as mediator-priests. Both work practically, in the Western Mystery Tradition, on a daily basis and have created and organised ceremonial and ritual drama as well as officiating at public rituals such as naming, wedding and funeral ceremonies.
The Third Phase of Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki’s New SOL Main Course is called “The Priesthood.” Why was the third phase of the new course so named? Are all initiates of the Mysteries part of a priesthood?
What does it mean to be a priestess or priest that is linked to a particular God-Form or Spiritual Tradition?
What were the daily responsibilities of the ancient priesthoods and what can we learn from them today?
Could priesthood be considered as being ‘shamanic’ in any way?
This workshop will be a valuable experience for students and members of the SOL School and address aspects of our inner work in both historical and contemporary contexts. The workshop is also open to non-SOL members who are interested in this subject.
