The Calling Of ISIS

From Lodge ISIS-Brigantia for SOL, November 2002

The purpose of the rite is to call ISIS into the Lodge and to establish a contact for the members of the Lodge.

Members enter giving password to the Guardian and circle the temple deosil three times.

The Guardian seals the door

Magus:
"Let us open the temple and begin the rite of the calling of ISIS Of A Thousand Names."
(He draws a circle of seven rings clockwise)

Cernunnos Of The Twelve Tines:
"I bid thee welcome.
Grant a blessing on our lodge and keep us from harm."

Officer Of The South:
"Epona, White Mare of the hills, I bid thee welcome.
Give a blessing to our work and keep us from interuption."

Officer Of The West:
"Mona, Sacred Cow of the sacred isle, I bid thee welcome.
Bring a blessing to our lodge and guard us within the circle."

Officer Of The North:
"Artor, Great Bear, Arthur and Lord of Logres, I bid thee welcome.
Place a blessing upon our lodge and grant us peace in heart mind and body."

Magus asks Guardian Of The Lights and Guardian if all is in order.
The outward desert journey begins.

Officer Of The South:
"Be ye far from us, O ye profane, for we are about to invoke the descent of the power of ISIS.
Enter her temple with clean hands and a pure heart, lest we defile the source of life."

Officer Of The West:
"Learn now the secrets of the web that is woven between the light and the darkness;
whose warp is life evolving in time and space, and whose weft is the span of the life of humans."

Officer Of The North:
"Behold we arise with the dawn of time from the grey and misty sea,
and with the dusk we sink into the western ocean,
and the life of a human being are strings like pearls on the thread of their spirit;
and never in all of their journeys, do they go alone, for that which is solitary is barren."

Guardian:
"Learn now the mystery of the ebbing and flowing tides.
That which is dynamic in the outer is latent in the inner,
for that which is above is as that which is below, but after another manner."

Guardian Of The Lights:
"In the inner SHE is all-potent. SHE is the queen of the kingdoms of sleep.
All the invisible working are HERS and she rules all things ere they come to birth."

Officer Of The North:
"Even as through OSIRIS her mate the earth grows green,
so the mind of men conceives through her power."

Magus:
"ISIS of nature awaits the coming of her lord the sun.
She calls him; she draws him from the place of the dead,
The kingdom of Amenti , where all things are foregotten,
And he comes to her in his boat called a million years
And the earth grows green with springing grain.
For she is the keeper of our souls till dawn.
From sleep we arise refreshed; from death we arise reborn.
There are two deaths by which we die, the greater and the lesser.
The death of the body and the death of initiation.
And of these two the death of the body is lesser.
From now on the sun grows in strength, may our lodge grow with it?
Let us now show forth in a rite the dynamic nature of the goddess."

Officer Of The South:
"Be ye far from us, O ye profane, for the unveiling of the goddess is at hand."

Magus:
"O thou that was before the earth was formed.
RHEA, BINAH, GE.
O, tideless, soundless, boundless bitter sea,
I am thy preist; O answer unto me
O arching sky above and earth beneath,
Giver of life and bringer-in of death,
PERSEPHONE, ASTARTE, ASHTORETH,
I am thy Priest; O answer unto me
O golden APHRODITE, come to me
Flower of the foam, rise from the bitter sea.
The hour of the your moon tide draws near,
Hear the invoking words, hear and appear
ISIS unveiled, and RHEA, BINAH, GE.
O ISIS, veiled on earth, but shining clear.
In the high heavens now the moon draws near
Hear the invoking words, hear and appear
SHADDAI EL CHAI, and RHEA, BINAH, GE."

ALL:
I I I I S S S S I I I I S S S S
I I I I S S S S I I I I S S S S
I I I I S S S S I I I I S S S S

All bow to the officer of the west.

Officer Of The West:
"I am she who ere the earth was formed
Was RHEA, BINAH, GE.
I am the soundless, boundless bitter sea
Out of whose depths life wells eternally
ASTARTE, APHRODITE, ASHTORETH
Giver of life and bringer-in of death;
HERA of heaven, on earth, PERSEPHONE;
LEVANAH of the tides and HECATE
All these am I, and they are seen in me
I am the soundless, boundless, bitter sea
All tides are mine, and answer unto me.
Tides of the air, tides of the inner earth,
The secret, silent tides of death and birth.
Tides of human souls, and dreams, and destiny
ISIS veiled and RHEA, BINAH, GE.
The hour of the moon draws near
I hear the invoking words, hear and appear
ISIS unveiled and RHEA, BINAH, GE.
I come unto the Priest that calleth me."
Officer Of The West gives wine to each member of the lodge.
Officer Of The North gives bread.
Then there is a short meditation.
Magus then asks Seer if she has anything to say.

Magus:
"Consumatum est.
Those who have received the touch of ISIS
have received the opening of the gates of the inner life.
The great sun, moving in the heavenly houses,
has left the house of the fishes for the house of the water bearer.
In the coming age shall humanity be holy,
and in the perfection of the human we shall find the humane.
Take up your humanity into divinity,
and bring down the divinity into your humanity
and this shall be the day of the divinity within,
for god is made manifest in nature,
and nature is the self-expression of god."

Guardian:
"All gods are one god, and all goddesses are one goddess, and there is but one initiator."
Magus addresses lodge and dismisses dog of defence.
The lodge is now protected by the egregore of SOL and the Fraternitatis Alexandrae.
The return desert journey

Magus:
"Companions let us now close the lodge."

Officer Of The North:
"Artor, Great Bear, Arthur and Lord Of Logres,
We give thanks for thy blessing, and for the beauty and peace of this our land"
(close by drawing a three ringed circle anti clockwise)

Officer Of The West:
"Mona of the sacred isle, we thank thee for thy blessing and guarding."

Officer Of The South:
"We give thanks to thee Epona for thy blessing and gift of quietness."

Magus:
"Cernnunos Of The Twelve Tines, we thank thee for thy blessing and protection.
There is a blessing on all who serve."

The Guardian unseals the door.

The members of the lodge move three times widdershins around the temple and depart.
