The Place of Magic in the 21st Century
Magic has been described in many ways.
As: The Art of Changing Levels of consciousness at will.
As: A Science that as yet we do not understand.
As: An Ancient Tradition lost in the mists of Time.
It is all of these and more. With the discovery of Quantum Physics we have come closer than ever before to understanding what in former times was known as Magic.
But then as Arthur C Clark has pointed out:
Any advanced technique if misunderstood can be called Magic.
This workshop offers a look at the ancient ways, and how they have been adapted to our own time. It offers ideas and possibilities and a few explanations. Traditions vary and they will be discussed and examined.
On Saturday evening a Ritual will be performed involving the whole group. This will give you a taste of what we refer to as The Western Mystery Tradition.

Folk Magic in Rural Britain
A Traditional Craft Workshop in Dallas
The Traditional English Craft taught by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki is the folk-way customs of a group of families from a small Derbyshire village. It was not called ‘the Craft’ or ‘Witchcraft.’ The people who practiced the tradition seldom referred to themselves as ‘witches’, they simply called themselves the Folk. They were a people who had their own ways, ways they had learned from their ancestors who had lived in the same place for many centuries. Dolores refers to this English Craft Tradition simply as The Village Tradition.
The Village which is the source of this material is now gone and it will never come again. Its time has passed as is the way of all living things, for the Craft is truly a living magic. The purpose of this workshop is not to revive an extinct way of pagan rural life or the folk-magic that served the needs of yesterday. Rather, in this workshop we will honor the wisdom of our ancestors and use the magic of the Village to help shape and inform our own paths in the present. Our Craft is worked in the context of our own times and needs within the ‘global village’ of the 21st Century. We honor the wisdom of our forebears and ancestors by living as fully as possible today - in our own world and in our own time.
The Old Magic and the Old Wisdom of the Village is taught in the traditional Craft manner: from mouth to ear therefore, no recording devices will be permitted. The time honored method of note-taking, paper and pen/pencil is encouraged but as a bow to the magic of the 21st century, I-Pads, Lap Books, and Notebooks will be allowed.

The Threefold Path of Wisdom
On the Four Levels of Manifestation
This is an entirely new workshop offered for the first time. It deals with the Tree of Life as a display of three distinct Paths. The Right and Left Paths hold three Terminals each, the Middle Path holds five. Each Path can be experienced on Four levels, the Physical, the Astral, the Mental, and the Spiritual.
The Right and Left Paths each project a certain type of power, energy and force, and creativity and form. The Middle Path offers itself as a harmonizing meeting point where energy and form, creativity and force meet, adapt, and transmute their powers. First we will build and understand the way in which all these powers can be blended. Then we will align ourselves with the Middle Path and allow the co-mingled powers to manifest within us through a sustained and highly concentrated Pathworking. Finally, in culmination, we will draw the combined forces down from Kether and up from Malkuth and center them in Tiphereth.
