Continue with the Quest. 6.The Tests, 7.The Five changes of the Grail. 8. The Old One Re-appears. 9. The Achievement. 10 the Return..  Sound, Voice, and Emotion the Magical Triangle of Ritual  Drama. Pathworking. “The Grail Chapel”

3rd Session:
The use of Masks in Ritual Drama, their value as ‘screens’for the ego. Robes as forms of ‘mask’. Choral Speaking to raise a Cone of Power or Psychic Protection. The Credo of the Church,  Mantras, Prayers, Psalms etc. Taking on Godforms, Method 1. Method 2. Empowerment of the Self during Ritual or Ritual Drama. Practical work ; Using Sound to Heal as in Ancient Greece. Symbols held by God-forms indicate their powers.

4th Session:
The Need to balance Order and Chaos within the Self. Magical Opposites;Osiris and Set.  Zeus and Hades, Arthur and Mordred. God and Lucifer. The Technique of the Star Chamber of Isis. Rehearsal for ritual.

Ritual: The Journey of the Soul or The Judgement of Osiris

Building a personal  sheild with Sound. Tibetan Thorn Body.  Building an Astral Guardian with a Group Mind. The 3rd level of God-form Assumption.
The Extention of Power in Ritual.  Building a Group Mind at Third Level.  Initiations, Grades and Levels.  The Future Shape of SOL Lodges. Gesture /Mime an essential part of Ritual and Ritual Drama. Hebrew Letters as Angelic Beings and their powers.

We have pleasure in presenting our sixth Workshop in the series.  While maintaining the    intention of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 we will again be using mostly different rituals from those used in the previous workshops and hope to again expand on the intensity  of the work. 
We would stress that some experience of ritual work is required by those applying for this workshop.  However attendance at any of the previous Ritual with Purpose workshops is not necessary in order to attend this one. The idea of Angels as guardians, messengers of God, helpers and companions to the human race have been with us since Biblical days. The Victorian Age in particular laid great emphasis on these winged beings and a great deal of how we 'see' them has come from their portrayal by artists, writers, and poets, of that era.

But what ARE angels really? Are they the transmuted souls of the dead, or were/are they a separate species created by God, or are they something else entirely? Can they be contacted, and if so will they answer? Can they assume a corporeal body ( there are stories in the Bible that speak of them eating and drinking with Abraham, and even fighting with Tobias) or are they merely figments of the imagination?

There are so many questions to be answered and some may never be answered fully, or to our satisfaction. But some we can answer and some we can surmise, and some we can speculate upon. That is what this workshop is all about.

In the quiet and peaceful surroundings of Lindenfels just outside Frankfurt we hope you will join us in researching into the mystery that surrounds the whole subject of Angelology. You will need a white robe and soft slippers, a small angel figure that will be blessed and consecrated as part of your practical work during the weekend.

Each participant will be linked with a specific angelic figure with whom you will learn communicate and work with, not just during the workshop but hopefully, for the rest of your life.

Within the Temple of the Black & White Isis
First and foremost this is NOT a workshop for women only! This workshop is built around the images of the Black Isis (Nephthys in the Egyptian Tradition) and the White Isis. Both aspects form a powerful balance, which is mirrored in other traditions, including the Christian tradition with the Black Madonna.

This workshop is about balance, internally within your own psyche and externally within the manifested world. You will be part of a sacred and ancient Priesthood for the weekend, either as a member of the Priesthood of Nephthys or the Priesthood of Isis. You will learn how magical and earthly power is mediated between these two archetypes and the rituals will provide you with a powerful experience of this both internally, and in your own life following the workshop.

Living “As If”
We have structured this workshop so that you will live and work as a member of the Priesthoods of Isis and Nephthys. We request that you take this very seriously, and behave as you would see fit for an initiated Egyptian Priest or Priestess. We strongly believe that acting “as if” creates a different reality and enables us to really connect into the energy patterns and archetypes of the Egyptian Religion. A few weeks in advance of the workshop we will write to all attendees and let you know what colour robe you require, black or white; depending upon the temple you are assigned to.

What You will Gain From Attending This Training:
Each student will receive a detailed training manual containing background information, lecture notes, rituals and a comprehensive bibliography.
You will understand:

• Why an Egyptian temple is set up the way it is
• The true meaning and symbolism of Isis and Nephthys and the path to balance between these two great goddesses
• The secrets of your innermost longings and fears

This is not a workshop for the faint-hearted. It will show up much of what you have kept hidden, even from yourself. It may not be a totally comfortable experience and will certainly have repercussions for several weeks afterwards. This is not an “airy-fairy” sit, listen and feel good workshop. This is powerful magic that will demand a lot from you. It is in every sense of the word a training seminar for the soul.

Caitlín Matthews is delighted and honoured to announce a very practical and experiential FíOS masterclass with her own dear teacher, Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki.  This residential weekend is designed to give an over-view of the evolution of magic and ritual and to see how it has changed over time. Whatever tradition you practice, when it changes you inevitably change with it. The difference in ritual between ancient civilisations and ritual today is considerable, but the way and why of that change makes for interesting discussions. We will trace the progress of magic and ritual from Assyria, Greece and Egypt to the present day, experiencing the difference in practical application by means of meditation, ritual, chant and pathworking within our temple.

Dolores says, ‘Those of us for whom the Western Mystery Tradition is a daily, living reality must often wonder “…where did the golden days go?’  Well, Magic is all about CHANGE and being able to deal with change. (Coming from someone with the four fixed signs at the quarters of her natal chart this is hard to take!)’ We look forward to more of her wicked humour as well as her wisdom!

You will need to bring a white or black robe (or else clean black or white clothing) and indoor shoes/ slippers, plus note pad and pen.

Within the Temple of Sekhmet

Within the Temple of Sekhmet is a residential workshop beginning with the recreation of a Temple of Sekhmet where the daily worship of the Goddess will be carried out. Those attending are required to wear robes all the time as they would have done in Egypt. Sekhmet is the daughter and the warrior of Ra, creator of heaven and earth. As a warrior she is harsh, vengeful and, so legend tells us, was responsible for almost wiping out the human race. But she is also a Goddess of two faces, the second is Hathor the Goddess of love, music, and desire. In this workshop we interact with both and learn to cope with Love and Hate in our own psyche.

All will participate in morning, noon and evening rituals. Rituals and lectures will include The Passing of the Sun’s Chariot, The Blessing of the Flame of Ra, The Five Aspects of the Warrior Priest, The Sacredness of Wine & Divine Inebriation, Divine Wrath in Myth and Legend, Sacred Dance of the Priestesses, Sacred Dance of the Warrior Priests, the Sacred pairings of Sekhmet and Ptah, Hathor and Horus.

DATE: Workshop begins at 6:00 pm Friday, September 19 and will end on Sunday, September 21 at 3:00 pm.
